After the chaos and extravagances of the festive time, it is lovely to get out and breathe in lungfuls of fresh air. Our escape this year, came as it often does, when we were in South Wales visiting family. There is a beach which has featured many times in my photos over the years and it may not be the best beach in the world, but it is our beach. A ten minute drive away, we spend a lot of time there whenever we are in Wales and we all love it. The sea air, the calm, the space to walk, run, scoot. We always return with colour in our cheeks and smiles on our faces (and usually ice cream in our tummies).
There is definitely something about the sea that soothes and revitalises and I for one, can’t wait to go back again in the Spring.

Oh how lovely! That looks just wonderful 🙂
I love visiting the sea, even on cold and stormy days. I think it creates an atmosphere that you just can’t get anywhere else!
Beautiful pictures!!
I love watching the sea, some wonderful images of it’s power at the moment 😉 xx
I’m looking forward to days at the beach too when the weather improves 🙂 x
It’s a lovely beach. My kids are always keen to visit Grandma, not to see her, but because she lives by the sea. With us though it’s hot doughnuts, rather than ice-cream 🙂
Lovely photos! Wish I was there! x
I actually think I prefer the beach in winter (I am not good at sunbathing) and we tend to go up more in the winter because we can take the dogs as well. We went on Boxing Day and our 2 (completely daft) boys went in for a dip!
I love the sea – we moved to the sea 3 years ago and the novelty has NOT worn off! I often just go and stare at it 🙂 I really hope WallyBubba doesn’t grow up taking it for granted 😉 she’s luckier than she knows! xx
