Tropical Robo Fish Review

Since the demise of our last pet, the subject of another pet has been a constant one. We have had endless debates on the subject in fact and so when I told them that I had relented and we were getting a pet, the children were all thrilled.

When is it coming? Erm, well it is coming in the post and should be here in a couple of days. They all looked at me with a puzzled expression, but being children, they soon shrugged it off.

So what is it? Well you will have to wait and see, was my response.

When the Tropical Robo Fish arrived from Hawkin’s Bazaar, I did feel a bit mean, but they have seen the adverts and although slightly disappointed that the postman hadn’t arrived with a dog (?), they were all quite happy with our ‘new addition’.

Now, the Robo Fish is definitely my sort of pet. Fun, nice to look at, easy to take care of and doesn’t make a mess. What more do you need from a fish?

In all seriousness, the Robo Fish is a really great idea.  The boys thought it was fun and A spent ages watching it swim around the bowl and then decided to get her hands in and have a play, which she would never have done with a real one.  The fish is equipped with a soft tail fin that powers it around through the water and it moves just like a real fish.  It is also really easy to use, it comes with the batteries in place and as it is activated as soon as you place it in the water.  When you are done, take it out, wipes it dry and it place it on its stand.

There is a whole range to go with the Tropical Robo Fish; there are nine different colours to collect and you can also get a bowl and accessories to make your fish feel at home.

The children are really happy with their new pet and have been discussing a possible name and for now at least, they aren’t asking me when we will be getting a real pet, which is a definite bonus.
