What’s new with SlimFast? #SlimFastWorksForMe

I am a big fan of SlimFast.  I tried the range out earlier in the year and had a really positive experience, it was easy to follow the 3-2-1 plan, there is a good variety of products which are all tasty and it made me look at my calorie intake for the first time.  There is no faffing or measuring involved which is a huge bonus for a busy mum like me.  I followed the plan for about four weeks and lost 10 lbs overall and it was lovely that people noticed the weight loss and I felt so much better about myself.  The summer holidays came and it was harder to maintain, so I returned to normal eating but still had the basic calorie principles in mind and it has helped me to keep the weight off. As I was thinking about restarting in September to see if I could lose a little bit more weight, I was really excited to see that they have made some changes to their range.

SlimFast 7 Day Starter Kit

First of all, they now offer a 7 day starter pack which is a brilliant idea.  Inside the box, you get everything you need to follow the 3-2-1 plan for seven days and it gives you the chance to try the different products and get an idea of which ones you prefer.  The starter pack contains a range of shakes, meal bars and savoury sweet snacks, all you need to add to the plan is a sensible 600 kcal meal (800 kcal for men).  This is a perfect way to get everything you need for the week and if you like everything in the pack, you could make shopping for the plan simple by getting one for each week that you need.

I really enjoyed most of the SlimFast products that I tried but one thing I said in my feedback was that although I enjoyed the meal replacement bars, I would have preferred something savoury, so I was thrilled to find out that SlimFast have introduced the SlimFast Noodle Box to their range.  Currently there are three flavours; Spaghetti Bolognaise, Chicken Tikka Masala and Spicy Thai Noodles.  All three are less than 100 calories: Chicken Tikka Masala (81 calories), Spaghetti Bolognaise (76 calories) and Spicy Thai Noodles (70 calories), and you pop them in the microwave for two minutes and then they are ready to enjoy.  They come with a fork, so these are ideal if you are looking for something to take to work.  You can have them on their own or as part of a meal.

For me, these are perfect.  I love all three flavours and I have found that if I eat a piece of fruit afterwards for pudding, I feel full and I much prefer having something savoury to eat for my lunch.

If you are thinking about starting the SlimFast 3-2-1 plan or would like more information about the plan and the SlimFast products, I will be co-hosting a Twitter party this Wednesday evening ( 16th September)  from 8pm until 9pm where we will be chatting about all things SlimFast. Come along and chat and if you join in, you could be in with a chance of winning one of five SlimFast 7 Day Starter Packs to help you kickstart your diet.  Look out for the hashtags #SlimFastWorksForMe and #SlimFastNoodles.

In the meantime, why not check out the SlimFast website for more information, recipe ideas, inspirational stories and of course more information about the product range.

I know what you mean about savoury food! Sometimes it’s exactly what you need, especially at mealtimes. The noodle boxes look delicious. Good luck with the weight loss.

I think I’d quite like the shakes but the noodle boxes have really caught my eye, I’m a big noodle fan 🙂 I may try the Thai one!
