While the last year has been a very strange one, the world is slowly beginning to open up again and there is looking to be light at the end of the tunnel. If you are looking to plan for some fun things to do once we are allowed again, then there are so many things you can choose from. While it is unlikely you will want to travel abroad right away (there is still a myriad of uncertainties such as how long you will have to quarantine for) there are a host of fun activities to do in your home country. It is time to take away any stress that you might have felt in the last year, whether you have work-related stress such as helping people in American Addiction Centres, have been stuck at home with nothing to do for months on end, or are just looking for some quality time with the family. Here are some great days out with the kids that are outside
To the Isle of Wight
Once the ferries begin running again for leisure travel, the Isle of Wight is a great day trip to do with the kids. As you take a ferry across to the island it feels like you are going abroad even though you aren’t! There is so much to do here, from visiting the garlic farm to enjoying the sandy beaches and the Needles attraction you are spoilt for choice! Be sure to take plenty of pictures while you are here and don’t forget to visit the old fashioned sweets factory!
To Kew Gardens
Kew Gardens is a beautiful place for the whole family to head to. The gardens are beautiful and there is plenty of space for the kids to run around and play. Bring a picnic as the food can be pricey and ensure you book your tickets in advance to avoid queues on the day. They often do special events such as light shows and other things that make the experience even more special, so ensure you check out their calendar ahead of time to see what will be on when you visit.
To Legoland Windsor
Legoland is an attraction that is designed for kids but the whole family can enjoy it! You can go on the many rides that are designed for children of all ages, as well as wander around and see the incredible models that are made out of Lego. Many shows are on throughout the day that you can all enjoy watching. If you book your tickets before you go you can often find some good discounts that make it a little cheaper.
These are just a few ideas for things that you can do with the kids. It is a great idea to head out as a family and get out into nature or the great outdoors.
